Polynucleotides

Polynucleotides used in PLINEST®, NEWEST® or PLINEST® EYE are highly purified DNA molecules extracted from fish. When they are injected into the skin, they reach the fibroblasts which are responsible for collagen production. Collagen helps maintain our skin’s firmness.

As we age collagen production declines, which is why our skin gets saggy and more wrinkled. Polynucleotides are highly effective at regenerating the skin from within.

Polynucleotides are a great solution to enhance the skin quality on your face, eyes, neck, decolletage or any skin really! They address fine lines and wrinkles, dark circles, dullness, poor texture, dark spots and acne scarring.

Are there any side effects?

As with any injection, you can expect your skin to be slightly red and swollen immediately after the procedure. You may experience pin prick bleeding, bruises and some itchiness. These will be temporary and generally disappear within a few days.

How many treatments are needed?

Depending on the severity of your concerns, we advise 3 -4 treatments spaced 3 weeks apart to achieve best results.

Can NEWEST®, PLINEST® AND PLINEST EYE® be used alongside other treatments?

All products can be reliably used alongside other aesthetic procedures. They are widely known as ‘skin primers’, meaning they can prepare the skin and make it more receptive to treatments like laser, radio-frequency, dermal fillers, chemical peels and microneedling. If used after other aesthetic treatments they can enhance results and keep your skin looking good for longer.

What results are expected?

Following treatment with any of the products you can expect your skin to be firmer, smoother and more radiant. You’ll notice a more even skin tone that looks younger and fresher! If you’ve had treatment with NEWEST® you can expect dry skin to be more hydrated and luminous, while dark circles will be reduced if you undergo treatment with PLINEST® EYE.

It takes time for collagen to get to work, so you can expect to see initial results 3 weeks after your first treatment. Best results will be 3 months after completing your course of treatments and will last 6-9 months. It is recommended to have a booster treatment at this time to maintain results.

After care

Until the initial swelling and redness has resolved, do not expose the treated area to intense heat (sauna, steam rooms, hot showers, sunbathing) or extreme cold.

For 6 hours

Avoid touching the treated area

After 6 hours you can wash with a gentle cleanser

For 12-24 hours

Avoid strenuous exercise and swimming to reduce the risk of infection

Avoid alcohol consumption for 24 hours before and after treatment

Apply SPF50 sunscreen
