Microneedling
Microneedling with EDS (eDermastamp)
What is eDermastamp Microneedling?
EDS regenerate microneedling treatments have taken professional skin needling to a new, more advanced level using the eDermastamp, a German engineered and manufactured medical device from the makers of Genuine Dermaroller™ It has been specifically designed to give practitioners greater control over intensive skin needling procedures by enabling them the option to change the length of the needles and speed of oscillation reducing discomfort.
What is microneedling?
On the EDS there are 6 sterile, fine, short needles. These needles oscillate and puncture the skin as it glides over it creating 1000s of micromedical columns. The needle depth and speed can be altered depending on the area that is being treated. Depths of 0.1mm- 1.5 mm can be achieved using EDS. Depths greater than 1mm should only be used by medical professionals.
How does microneedling work?
Creating the micro injuries stimulates below the surface of your skin so that it will regenerate and repair itself naturally producing new collagen and elastin resulting in smoother, brighter, younger and healthier looking skin. It will take up to 6 weeks before you see signs of this regeneration and repair. The process will continue to work over the following months, leaving you with natural, long lasting results. It is recommended to have 3 EDS Regenerate treatments 4-6 weeks apart. However, some skin conditions may need more treatments to achieve the desired results. For ageing skin one maintenance treatment is recommended every 6 months.
Does microneedling hurt?
EDS regenerate microneedling procedure produces some discomfort. Numbing cream is applied for 30 minutes prior to treatment.

What to expect after microneedling treatmen
Immediately after the procedure you will look as though you have moderate sunburn and your skin will feel warmer and tighter than usual. This normally starts to subside after a couple of hours and will return to normal within 24-48 hours. Use tepid water to cleanse the area and pat dry until the redness has gone. It is important that you apply a broad spectrum high level SPF after the procedure eg Heliocare SPF50. You should apply this daily during the treatment course even in winter or on a cloudy day to prevent hyperpigmentation.
