IPL Hair Reduction

IPL is a safe, cosmetic procedure that uses a powerful intense pulsed light to reduce unwanted hair. The light source heats and destroys the hair follicles which disrupts hair growth.

Common areas to treat, face, chest, back, legs, arms, underarms and bikini lines.

You will need at 6-8 sessions some people may need more depending on hormones or medical history. IPL can only treat active hair follicles. Everyone has dormant hair follicles that can become active and grow hair so 100% hair removal cannot be achieved.

The treatment feels like you have been flicked on the skin.

A patch test is required at least 24hours prior to full treatment to set parameters and assess skin reaction.

Fair, red and white grey hairs cannot be treated. You may want to consider electrolysis treatment instead.

You will notice after a few sessions that your hair regrowth is finer and patchy.

Prior to treatment you will need to shave the area either on the day or the day before in order to target the hair follicle and not the hair above the skin. Avoid sunbeds and self-tan lotions or spray tans in the treatment area.

You must not wax, pluck, thread or epilate the hairs in between treatments.

Treatments are 4-6 weeks apart but the first 2 treatments are 2 weeks apart.

After treatment you must avoid sunbeds and wear SPF30+ daily and avoid perfumed products in the area straight after treatment.
